I am deeply fascinated by Chinese history and
traditional clothing “Hanfu”. Chinese clothing has continued to evolve throughout its long
history, with each dynasty having unique styles and characteristics. Therefore, I decided to
select six important dynasties in Chinese history, and depict them in the form of paper dolls and
display them using Chinese scrolls. Finally, I used clay techniques to bring the costumes to life.
Through this project, I hope to convey more information about Hanfu and Chinese history to
the audience. This work is a tribute to traditional Chinese culture and is also the product of my
exploration and integration of multiple art forms.
